Mid-Year Check In

It’s hard to believe that we are halfway through the year.  The older I get the faster time flies.  The days are long but the years are short.  Are you a goal setter?  This is the time to revisit your goals and evaluate where you are and course correct if necessary.   This is also the time for reflection.

This year my journaling has been consistent.  Writing has allowed me to brain dump; this is important to gain clarity and organize my thoughts.  It has sparked aha moments.  It has been therapeutic.  This year has been full of winding curves and bumpy roads.   I have had set backs and roadblocks.  I refuse to give up; my passion and my desire to achieve my dreams keep me motivated.  I ask and find strength in prayer, my quiet time, and by going to church.  Each day so far I have found gratitude.  One of the biggest wins so far this year is a shift in my perspective.
Here is a recap of the last 6 months.  I had a major setback with one of my goals.  I picked up the pieces, focused, and made a decision that I would persevere.  I just hit a milestone in the goal.  It is time to revisit what my goals are and course correct.  Two goals are unrealistic and two need more focus.  The next few days I will sit still and think about what is important and rewrite my goals before July 2nd.  July 2, 2024 will mark 1/2 of 2024.  This is a great time to course correct.

Let me encourage you to journal daily. My heart tells me that journaling is opening doors.  There is power in writing things down.   This is a great way to reflect, remember, achieve goals, reduce stress, and it can spark creativity.

One of the first ask - daily, when I journal is listed below.  Each day I write
  • to be guided to the narrow path
  • to have clarity, be consistent, have courage, and charisma
  • to have eyes that see, ears that hear, and a heart that understands
  • to live by the Fruit of the Spirit: peace, love, joy, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control
  • to focus on a day at a time, one thing at a time, and one thought and a time
  • to have a high impact life full of passion and purpose
  • to seek His will not mine
  • to be equipped with the full armor of God
  • to have an attitude of gratitude
  • to be present
  • to be transformed inside out
  • to have a renewed mind
  • to be given the gift of faith in abundance
  • to be a doer and not a sayer
  • to quit analyzing and to act
  • to have a plan
  • to take 3 action steps daily
The biggest take-away so far in journaling is self-discovery.  I am learning about myself.  This is better than looking in a mirror.  Writing pulls out what’s on the inside.
Are you stuck and needing some guidance?  Try journaling.  Write yourself a question and write down the answer.  I know it sounds silly; it is an amazing free tool that anyone can use.

Cheers to growing and glowing,
Coach Kelle
